Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee

Now my brother has unwrapped it, I can finally share what I’ve been working on!

My brother is a health and gym nut and has all the Muhammad Ali t-shirts featuring quotes that inspire his training. With his birthday this month, I really wanted to create something that he could enjoy out of the gym, while at home.

Taking the famous quote, I added the butterfly and bee to a pair of boxing gloves. I was undecided whether to add the text to the illustration, but figured he would get the concept without having it spelt out for him!

I really enjoyed working on this piece as it’s not my usual go-to subject, was great to challenge myself and learn new techniques. It’s opened up the possibility of trying other sports equipment based artwork.
